It’s the “but” that ruins every sentence. It’s the “but” that no matter what came before it, no longer matters. It’s the “but” that tells you what I just said was my way of softening what it is I really want to say.
Beware of the “but.”
Pastor Mark Wingfield of Wilshire Baptist Church in Dallas (who wrote the foreword to my book) has written a great article at BaptistNews.com about how a mother of a transgender teen was told by her pastor that “We love everybody here. But it’s still a sin”.
He talks about what IS sin and why being transgender is NOT. I hope you’ll take a moment to read it and share it.
